NEW ERA FOR MADRID GOLF COURSES ASSOCIATION

đź’Ľ Replacement of our presidency.

We announce that, as of January 1, 2026, the Real Club de Golf Lomas-Bosque will assume the presidency of the Madrid Golf Courses Association within the biennial rotation system established since its creation in 2014, guaranteeing the representativeness of all associated courses.

The handover will take place after the General Assembly, in which it was unanimously agreed that Mr. IGNACIO CANO ORTIZ, director of the Real Club de Golf Lomas-Bosque, will succeed Mr. Enrique Gil Octavio de Toledo, manager of the Real Club de Golf La HerrerĂa, who has chaired the association for the last two years.

🎙️ “I take on this challenge with enthusiasm and with the commitment to continue strengthening the union between Madrid’s fields. Our goal is to continue promoting golf as a tourist and economic engine of the Comunidad de Madrid, betting on sustainability, training and the joint promotion of our clubs,” said Ignacio Cano Ortiz.

🎙️For his part, Enrique Gil stressed that “these two years at the head of the Association have been very enriching. We have taken important steps in the visibility of Madrid golf and in institutional collaboration. I am convinced that Ignacio will continue on this path with energy and new ideas that will continue to position Madrid as a benchmark for national and international golf.”

The change in the presidency is accompanied by a renewal of the Board of Directors of the ACGM, which begins this new stage with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the associated courses, expanding the institutional presence of the entity and continuing to promote joint projects with public and private entities that contribute to the development of golf in the Community of Madrid
