Destination Golf would like to thank TopGolfer for a fantastic 2026 season and for the opportunity to partner as an official Media Partner of the TopGolfer Tour.
The partnership has brought together two organisations with a shared passion for promoting Irish golf, supporting golf clubs and celebrating the wider golfing community.
Since 2009, Destination Golf has been dedicated to supporting and promoting golf in Ireland, showcasing the country’s outstanding golf clubs, courses, destinations and the people who make Irish golf such a special part of the sporting landscape. Through its media platforms, Destination Golf continues to connect golfers with the very best opportunities to play, travel and experience golf across Ireland.
TopGolfer shares that commitment to the game, providing a community for Irish golfers who are dedicated and passionate enough about golf to call it an obsession.
The TopGolfer Tour has once again provided a fantastic competitive platform for golfers throughout the 2026 season, with a series of Senior and Junior Scratch Cups staged at some of Ireland’s leading golf clubs. Open to golfers with a CONGU handicap of less than 10, the Tour attracts talented players looking to test themselves against strong competition on some of the country’s finest courses.
The Tour also delivers a great experience away from the competition, with fantastic prizes and player packs for competitors, while allowing golfers to enter as many events as they wish. For many players, the opportunity to play multiple events throughout the season — and even take on two in a weekend — provides a real “flavour of life on tour”.
The 2026 season produced some outstanding performances. Huge congratulations to PJ Doyle from Ballymoney Golf Club, who made TopGolfer history by becoming the first golfer in TopGolfer history to successfully defend his TopGolfer Tour Championship title (cover pic).
The Tour – Season, Flogas Order of Merit also delivered a worthy champion, with Joe Hannigan from Headfort Golf Club claiming the 2026 title, recording two fantastic victories along the way, winning the Farnham and Donabate Tour events, while consistently performing throughout the season to secure the Flogas Order of Merit Championship.
Destination Golf would like to thank everyone at TopGolfer for a hugely enjoyable 2026 partnership and for the work they continue to do in supporting competitive golf in Ireland and the clubs that host these events.
“We’re delighted to have supported the TopGolfer Tour throughout 2026 and would like to thank the entire TopGolfer team for the partnership,” said Destination Golf. “The Tour is a fantastic addition to the Irish golfing calendar, providing talented golfers with the opportunity to compete at some of Ireland’s best clubs while creating a real sense of community around the game.”
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with TopGolfer and supporting the Tour throughout 2027, helping to showcase the players, clubs, events and stories that make Irish golf so special.”
Destination Golf wishes TopGolfer, its players and the clubs involved every success for the 2027 season.
