Welcome to the latest edition of Destination Golf Guide, where the journey matters just as much as the destination.

Golf travel has never been simply about finding the next great course. Increasingly, it is about discovering places that offer a complete experience – destinations where outstanding golf is complemented by history, culture, food, scenery and the opportunity to see somewhere from a different perspective. This issue takes us across Europe and beyond in search of exactly that.
We begin in Morocco, a country with more than a century of golfing history and a remarkable variety of experiences. From the energy and colour of Marrakech to the country’s diverse landscapes, it remains a destination capable of surprising even the most seasoned golf traveller.
We then head to Greater Madrid, where world-class golf sits comfortably alongside grand architecture, exceptional gastronomy and the vibrant character of one of Europe’s great capitals. It is a reminder that a golf trip can be about far more than what happens between the first tee and the 18th green.
Our resort features continue that theme. In Marrakech, Villa des Arts offers a private retreat directly on the fairways of Amelkis Golf, while The Belfry brings Ryder Cup history, championship golf and a wealth of leisure facilities to the heart of England. Scotland provides another distinctive experience at five-star JA Mar Hall, set beside the River Clyde, while Sardinia’s Is Molas combines golf with Mediterranean scenery, beaches, gardens and the ancient heritage of southern Sardinia.
For those planning a trip to Ireland, our conversation with Dave Wensley of North & West Coast Links explores what makes the country’s golf so compelling and why the right planning can transform a collection of tee times into a genuinely memorable journey.
And, as always, our Travel News section brings you the latest developments from around the golfing world.
Wherever your next golf adventure takes you, we hope this issue provides plenty of inspiration – and perhaps gives you a few new places to add to the list.
