COVID-19 UPDATE FROM ANDALUCIA, SPAIN.

ANDALUCIA (SPAIN) REGIONAL UPDATE FOR IAGTO COVID-19 RECOVERY HUB, BY ANDALUCIA TOURIST BOARD.

At this moment, the region of Andalucía as all the Spanish territory is under a very strict lockdown.

The Government of Spain declared a state of emergency to handle the health crisis situation caused by COVID19. The extraordinary council of Ministers of March 14th, 2020 approved the Royal Decree declaring a state of emergency in Spain to handle the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19.

Last April 10th, the Spanish Government approved a second extension of the State of Emergency that will be active till April 25th. More extensions can take place. This exceptional measure establishes conditions for the movement of citizens and economic activity, with measures that affect transportation and customs transit.

These conditions applied throughout the country are taken under the Management of the President of the Government, with 3 objectives:
1.- To protect the health and safety of all citizens
2.- To Contain the spread of the desease
3.- To strengthen the public health system

Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the Government of Spain limits all travel except those that cannot be postponed. Travellers entry through the Spanish external borders is restricted All golf courses in Andalucía are completely closed until further notice. However their maintenance is being allowed by the Spanish authorities in order to guarantee the best quality standards when the reopening time arrives The Andalucia Tourism Board and the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation are in permanent contact with rest of institutions and all the local suppliers from the golf industry.

We remain united and aligned with the aim of providing again and as soon as possible the experience of enjoying our unique offer with the guarantee of having all the health and sanitary conditions that may be relevant to ensure a safe and pleasant stay to all golf travellers who love our destination.
