Scotland’s, Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort reopens in February 2025

Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort, a luxurious five-star country estate hotel located just 10 miles from the heart of Glasgow. Set within 240 acres of ancient woodland overlooking the River Clyde, Mar Hall is one of the UK’s most iconic heritage hotels. It features an 18-hole championship golf course, elegant private event spaces, a state-of-the-art spa, and a 20-meter swimming pool.

Originally designed in 1828 by Sir Robert Smirke, the visionary architect behind London’s British Museum, Mar Hall was acquired in 2024 by Dubai-based Dutco Group. With an investment exceeding £15 million, the resort is undergoing an extraordinary transformation, positioning it as a premier international destination.

The renovation, led by Glasgow-based design firm Graven, marries timeless elegance with modern luxury. When Mar Hall reopens in February 2025, guests will be welcomed into beautifully reimagined interiors, including 60 newly refurbished guest rooms, 30 luxury woodland lodges, a new restaurant and bar, and a revitalized Grand Lounge. The surrounding gardens have been meticulously landscaped to complement the estate’s stunning natural setting.

Future developments include an extension to the golf clubhouse and the creation of a tranquil outdoor spa garden, further enhancing Mar Hall’s reputation for exceptional hospitality and unforgettable guest experiences.
