La Réserve Golf Links celebrates ‘World’s Best New Golf Course 2024’ accolade with stunning new imagery

Heritage Le Telfair also wins WGA’s Best Golf Hotel in the Indian Ocean

(Bel Ombre, Mauritius – November 25, 2024La Réserve Golf Links at Heritage Golf Club, Mauritius, reveals stunning new course imagery to celebrate its latest distinction as the ‘World’s Best New Golf Course 2024’.

Coinciding with the first anniversary of the Indian Ocean’s only contemporary links, the World Golf Awards accolades – which also include Heritage Le Telfair being recognised as the Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Hotel for 2024 – solidify Heritage Resorts & Golf’s standing as a World Top 25 and a must-visit destination for discerning international golfers.

Didier Gayat, Golf Director at La Réserve Golf Links, said: “Having La Réserve Golf Links crowned the ‘World’s Best New Golf Course’ is an absolute honour.

“A year on since it was opened, world-renowned golf course photographer Jacob Sjöman returned to Mauritius to capture stunning new images of our critically-acclaimed links,” he continued.

“So, it only seems fitting to share these amazing pictures at this time, as they perfectly capture the course’s striking links features, its unique infinity greens, as well as the far-reaching views over the Indian Ocean and the majestic backdrop of the Savannah Mountain range.”

The GEO Certified Development was co-designed by renowned course architect Peter Matkovich, who was voted Golf Architect of the Year during the 2024 World Golf Awards, and former Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen, who won the maiden DP World Tour AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open that was held there in 2023.

Inspired by wild open spaces of the great seaside links, the architects worked with the land – former sugar cane fields alongside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – to create a strategic, undulating course that plays in the traditional links style, with running fairways, pot bunkers and long grasses, providing an experience of pure golfing drama.

Located on the southwestern coast of Mauritius, with two DP World Tour hosting courses, including Le Château Golf Course which has been voted the Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Course nine times, a nine-hole short course and a Leadbetter Golf Academy, Heritage Golf Club at Heritage Resorts & Golf is fast becoming one of the world’s most sought-after golf destinations.
