Golf Vacationers return to SE Asia

Golf Vacationers return to SE Asia

After a fairly torrid time for the golf tourism industry, at last there seems tangible light at the end of the Tunnel.

Currently, round two of the 2022 Vietnam World Master Golf Championship is taking place at Ba Na Hills in Danang.

Vacationers who are from all over the world have flown into Vietnam to enjoy a week of first-class golf in the region. Round one took place at BRG Danang Golf Resort.

This is the third major tournament arranged by Asia’s leading tour operator Golfasian in 2022.
In May over 350 international golfers took part in the Centara World Masters in Thailand’s Hua Hin playing Black Mountain and Banyan Golf Club.

Then in September, they ran the Pattaya Men’s Open hosted at Siam Country Club and Laem Chabang.
Mark Siegel CEO at Golfasian said, “We have been reading about the return of tourists, however these three tournaments we organised are living proof that golf vacationers have really started to return in numbers.”

Not only is this promising news for the 1st class golf clubs who hosted our events but is also a boost for the travel industry and of course our company and dedicated staff.

Seems the format is starting to pay off as Golfasian has plans to organise another six tournaments all supported by major hotel brands including Pullman, Accor, Amari, Centara, and Avani.

It is not only great business for the golf clubs but also helps fill hotel bed nights as well.
