Three generations of Irish golf course design. One exceptional Atlantic links.
Set on the Murvagh Peninsula, Donegal Golf Club is a championship links shaped by its natural surroundings, its exposure to the Atlantic Ocean and three generations of Irish golfing vision. Eddie Hackett created the original course, allowing the links to flow naturally through this remarkable landscape.
Pat Ruddy later brought his own renowned links expertise to Murvagh.

Today, Paul McGinley and McGinley Golf Design are guiding the next stage in the course’s evolution by carefully enhancing the challenge and experience while respecting the character, heritage and identity of the original links.
It is a course that demands imagination, strategy and the ability to play every type of links shot. Conditions can change quickly, and the Atlantic breeze ensures that no two rounds are ever quite the same.
2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke has long been a great supporter of Murvagh and has spoken highly of its place among Ireland’s finest links courses.
