Camiral Golf & Wellness Latest Investments: reopening Stadium PGA course
From September 2024, the critically acclaimed PGA Stadium Course, three-time Spanish Open venue and multiple DP World Tour event host, will reopen having completed its sustainability-focused upgrades, which includes changing the grass types on its fairways to Bermuda Celebration and Paspalum, matching the premier playing surface at the prestigious Augusta National, USA.
In September, after the reopening, golfers will enjoy a brand-new high-quality surface & top playing conditions that meet the expectations of both professionals and amateur golfers from around the globe at the world-class resort located 20 minutes from Girona.
“Since our opening 25 years ago, our mission has been to continuously refine and elevate our offerings to uphold our reputation as a World Top 20 Golf Resort*” said David Plana, CEO of Camiral Golf & Wellness.
To finalize the most recent investments, a new restaurant, Origin, has been introduced. This new outlet combines traditional, locally sourced Catalonian flavors with innovative techniques from its chefs, led by Executive Chef David Vives, who previously spent 10 years at the three Michelin-star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca.
With the opening of Origin, Camiral now offers guests a choice of five excellent dining options within the resort that reflect the famed local gastronomic scene of Catalunya, the heart of Costa Brava, which is home to 13 Michelin-starred restaurants, making it one of Europe’s most extraordinary dining destinations.
