WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE APPOINTMENT OF SHARON SMURFIT, WHO HAS JOINED THE TEAM AT DESTINATION GOLF, ASSUMING THE ROLE OF GLOBAL BRAND AMBASSADOR.
Having worked in the golf industry and hospitality sector for most of her career, Sharon qualified with a Diploma in Club Management through the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and is a current member of the Irish Golf Club Managers Association (IGCMA).
Sharon spent 8 years as Director of Golf at The K Club where she connected with many colleagues across the golf industry during that time. She was also very involved in the staging of the Irish Open at The K Club in 2016 and looked after two championship golf courses along with its members & visitors.
Sharon has travelled extensively around the World is an avid 11 handicap golfer. She enjoys engaging with golfers and golf clubs on social media through Twitter @sharonsmurfit and Instagram @sharon_smurfit and she will be a fantastic Ambassador for Destination Golf as we solidify our place as The World’s #1 Golf Travel Magazine (ref: World Golf Awards 2022).
