PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet continues to impress with ‘Best New Course in Asia Pacific’ at 2022 Asian Golf Awards

PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet continues to impress with

‘Best New Course in Asia Pacific’ at 2022 Asian Golf Awards

The Greg Norman designed course has picked up its second accolade in as many months after receiving ‘Best New Golf Course’ at the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards-

(PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Vietnam – 7 November 2022): PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet has doubled down on its position as one of Vietnam’s best golf destinations by securing a second ‘Best New Course’ award in less than a month in Asia-Pacific at the 2022 Asian Golf Awards.

The 7,400-yard PGA Ocean Course has also recently been recognised as the ‘Best New Golf Course’ and included as one of the top 10 best golf courses in Vietnam at the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards.

After a two-year absence, the Asian Golf Awards has once again honoured the best golf courses in the Asia-Pacific region, with PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet joining a prestigious list of previous award-winners.

Course features that contributed to its awards successes include the elevated tees that offer stunning panoramic views over the East Sea, with all 18 holes showcasing a combination of parkland and links-style golf, featuring stylishly rugged bunkers lined with native grass that punctuate the undulating fairways.

Golfers of all abilities – from the world’s best professionals to total novices – can experience variety throughout the layout with signature ‘mini fairway’ tees, measuring up to 100-metres in length, designed to allow the course to be set up in multiple different ways.

Speaking at the Asian Golf Awards, Andrew Bowles, Nova Golf Clubs – Golf Director, commented: “This award is testament to the dedicated efforts of our team and the significant progress that has been made throughout the last year or so on one of the most ambitious new golf projects in Southeast Asia. Each award is further evidence of the hard-work and commitment shown by the team here at PGA NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

“Vietnam is a rapidly growing golf market and a haven for tourism. As the NovaWorld Phan Thiet resort continues to expand with new amenities, real estate, lifestyle and leisure facilities, we look forward to welcoming both domestic and international visitors.”

Featuring alongside the PGA Ocean Course is the PGA Garden Course. Inspired by the ‘Sandbelt’ region of Melbourne, Australia, the parkland design is one of the most beautiful layouts in the region, with bunkers integrated right into the edges of the green complexes.

The Asian Golf Awards are devoted to recognising and honouring the best in the Asia Pacific Golf industry that deliver a world-class experience for golf. The ceremony was held as part of the 14th Asia-Pacific Golf Summit, an annual conference that focuses on the growth of the golf industry in the Asia-Pacific.
