New Cross-Border Routes Expand Golf Itinerary Possibilities

Recent air connectivity developments between Cambodia and Vietnam are creating valuable new opportunities for golf tour operators to design high-yield, multi-country programs with greater ease and efficiency.

Air Cambodia has launched direct services from Phnom Penh to Danang, Nha Trang and Dara Sakor, with three weekly flights to Danang already in operation.  These routes enable seamless transitions between Cambodia’s cultural capital and Central Vietnam’s premier championship courses, including BRG Danang, Ba Na Hills and Laguna Lang Co – making it simpler to package compelling twin-destination experiences.

The new access to Nha Trang opens the door to KN Golf Links alongside attractive beachfront golf stays, while Dara Sakor is rapidly emerging as a notable resort golf destination within Cambodia, offering additional itinerary flexibility.

AirAsia has further enhanced regional connectivity with new flights linking Siem Reap and Phu Quoc.  This convenient routing allows travellers to combine the iconic temples of Angkor with Vietnam’s tropical island fairways, reducing reliance on major transit hubs, shortening travel times for groups, and improving overall program flow.

With more direct routes and reduced travel durations, these cross-border connections empower operators to craft seamless journeys that blend world-class golf with rich culture and leisure across Cambodia and Vietnam.
