Barcelona, 24 October 2023. INFINITUM, the high-end real estate and hotel resort located on the Costa Dorada and a European benchmark for elite professional and amateur golfers, has been named “Best Residential Golf Resort in Europe” at the World Golf Awards in Abu Dhabi, confirming its status as one of the world’s premium residential golf destinations.
The World Golf Awards, popularly known as the Oscars of golf and recognising excellence in global golf tourism, is a testament to the quality, craftsmanship and sustainability of INFINITUM’s renowned property community.
“While our golf courses have enjoyed a growing reputation over the past 17 years, we are relatively new to the world of real estate. It is therefore an honour to receive this prestigious award so early in our journey,” said Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Director of Golf at INFINITUM.

Sustainability is a fundamental pillar in INFINITUM’s philosophy, and its growing real estate portfolio is no exception. All of the resort’s homes are BREEAM certified and use state-of-the-art design systems to achieve the highest efficiency in heating and cooling, as well as prioritizing the use of local building materials.
Start of the second phase of housing
Earlier this year, it was announced that construction had begun on the second phase of INFINITUM’s ambitious real estate project, following the success of the first phase, in which more than 90% of its homes have already been sold, in just over a year.
So far, the current development encompasses 269 new properties (a combination of luxury apartments and villas designed by the Batlle I Roig architecture studio), as well as a wide variety of services available. Residents and guests alike can enjoy the recently named “Best Beach Club in Europe” at the World Travel Awards 2023, for the second year in a row, one of many prestigious awards the resort has garnered in recent months.
Additionally, earlier this year, INFINITUM was named the winner in the ‘Best Sustainable Residential Development’ category at the International Property Awards. The resort was also named for the first time among the top 25 sustainable golf resorts by Today’s Golfer, while National Club Golfer’s recently released list of the top 100 European golf resorts included INFINITUM as a new entry.

It should also be noted that INFINITUM is no stranger to success at the prestigious World Golf Awards, having previously been awarded “Europe’s Best Golf Resort” for three consecutive years in recognition of its extensive facilities and three golf courses: those designed by Greg Norman, Lakes and Ruins, and Hills. Together, Lakes and Hills are preparing to host the final event of the DP World Tour Qualifying School again next month.
In addition, the high-end resort has been recognized with two prestigious international awards in the golf tourism sector. On the one hand, the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO ), an international organization specialized in the golf tourism industry, has awarded INFINITUM with the prestigious IAGTO Outstanding Service 2023 award in the category ‘Golf resorts, golf facilities and hotels’, for offering excellent experiences and services to its golf customers, during the past year 2022.
On the other hand, and for the second consecutive year, INFINITUM received the prestigious ‘Silver flag’ recognition at the 59club Service Excellence Awards ceremony, thus rewarding the customer service of the leading Spanish golf resort.
