New data from Glencor Golf Holidays reveals that Vilamoura is the top choice for UK golfers seeking premium golf breaks in the Algarve.
Analysis of Glencor’s booking data shows that golf holidays to Vilamoura have the highest average booking value of any destination in the region, highlighting the resort’s growing appeal among golfers looking for high-quality courses and luxury accommodation.

Vilamoura achieved an impressive 4.1 out of 5 for both its golf courses and hotel offering, confirming its reputation as one of Europe’s premier golf resorts.
Among the standout courses is the Old Course Vilamoura, one of the Algarve’s most iconic layouts. The course scored 4.4 on TripAdvisor, 4.3 on Leading Courses and 4.5 from Top 100 Courses, giving it a combined Glencor Score of 4.4.
Other courses drawing UK golfers to the resort include Millennium Golf Course, Laguna Golf Course and The Els Club Vilamoura, all contributing to the destination’s reputation for variety and quality.
Vilamoura’s hotel offering also plays a major role in its premium appeal. The 4-star Vilamoura Garden Hotel scores 4.5 on TripAdvisor, while the 5-star Hilton Vilamoura receives 4.4 on TripAdvisor.
