The Vietnam Golf Coast
There are seven golf courses all located between the ancient town of Hoi An and the Imperial City of Hue.
The Vietnam Golf Coast is located in and around the vibrant coastal city of Da Nang the gateway to Central Vietnam and has become one of Asia’s Best Golf destinations, emerging from the pandemic with two new 18-hole golf courses that opened in 2020.
Since May 2022 as the international borders reopened the demand for golf has surpassed pre pandemic volumes in the destination which now boasts seven highly celebrated golf courses.
The group has expanded with Hoiana Shores Golf Club a tropical links course designed by Robert Trent Jones II opening in February 2020, and BRG adding their second 18 holes, a Jack Nicklaus designed fully flood light night golf course.
With a year-round golf season some of Asia’s Top Luxury Branded Resorts, endless beaches, national parks, and three UNESCO World Heritage sites it is hard to imagine a better golf vacation destination.
These links courses gives players a stark contrast to the popular mountain course Ba Na Hills designed by Luke Donald and managed by IMG and often ranked as Vietnam’s Best Course.
A must-play since 2013 has been Vietnams most unique course Laguna Lang Co, Sir Nick Faldo’s Signature design and Home of the “Faldo Series Asia” managed by Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, this iconic course is carved through ancient rice fields with water buffalo wading through the tapestry of rice paddies on several holes.
The three city courses BRG Da Nang 36-hole property boasts a Greg Norman Design sculpted through coast sand dunes while the Nicklaus course is fully flood light for night golf and designed with a systematic lakes system using timber bulkheads.
Montgomerie Links has long been a favourite for golfers visiting the city of Da Nang. Montgomerie Links the region’s first course traverses across low-lying sandy landscapes mixed with a pine forest. VinPearl Nam Hoi An designed my IMG opened in 2019 and has quickly gained attention as a key attraction to the larger VinPearl Resort which also has a waterpark.
Vietnam has been named both Asia’s Best and the World’s Best Golf destination at the annual World Golf Awards held in Dubai each year. With the Vietnam Golf Coast being home to five of Vietnam’s top seven golf courses the region is by far the highest-quality cluster of golf in Asia.
