Picciolo Etna Resort & Spa set to reopen for the 2026 season

Sicilian resort beneath Mount Etna returns with ongoing improvements, refreshed interiors

and early booking incentives

Picciolo Etna Golf Resort & Spa will reopen on February 13, welcoming guests back for the new season following a programme of targeted improvements across the resort over the last month.

The reopening comes as the Sicilian resort, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, prepares for a busy spring and summer on the slopes of Mount Etna, with updated facilities designed to enhance golf, leisure, dining and corporate stays. Works completed during the winter months include renovations to the resort’s meeting rooms, upgrades to the Il Palmento restaurant and completion of the private villas.

Il Palmento has been refreshed to support its role as the resort’s relaxed daytime dining venue, continuing its focus on seasonal Sicilian cuisine and local produce. The meeting spaces have been updated to improve comfort and functionality for conferences, private events and golf groups, while work continues on the completion of the private villas adjacent to the course, enhancing their appeal for longer stays.

Alongside the reopening, Picciolo Etna Resort & Spa has launched a number of early booking offers for the 2026 spring and summer seasons. Guests who book in advance can take advantage of savings of up to 20 per cent, providing added value for those planning golf breaks, wellness stays or extended holidays in eastern Sicily.

The reopening builds on the ongoing investment in Picciolo Etna Resort & Spa’s championship golf course, the oldest in Sicily. Recent works have focused on infrastructure and playability, including continued upgrades to tee complexes, resurfacing and levelling of buggy paths and improved vegetation management to enhance airflow, light exposure and sightlines across key holes. These developments follow the extensive bunker renovation programme completed in recent seasons and form part of a long-term course improvement strategy.

Set within a historic manor house and surrounded by vineyards and lava-stone landscapes, the resort offers 100 en-suite rooms, an 18-hole par-72 golf course, two outdoor pools, spa facilities and three restaurants, all framed by views of Europe’s most active volcano.

Owners Andrea and Francesco Scrofani and Mario Paoluzi commented: “Reopening in February allows us to welcome guests back early in the year and to build momentum into the spring and summer months. The recent improvements have been carefully considered, focusing on the areas that matter most to our guests, from dining and events to longer villa stays.”

Picciolo Etna Resort & Spa is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton and participates in the Hilton Honors loyalty programme, offering members exclusive benefits when booking directly.
