La Manga’s New Recruit

|

In advance of World Travel Market in London (November 2-5), Spain’s La Manga Club has appointed Luke Murphy as the flagship resort’s new director of sales, UK & Ireland. Murphy will return to his London roots for the world’s pre-eminent travel show having joined the new-look La Manga Club management team from the neighbouring Mar Menor Golf Resort, and having previously been director of sales for the La Torre InterContinental Hotel. Murphy is relishing the challenge and said: “This is a fantastic move for me, not only personally but professionally. “To be part of the new team incorporated at La Manga Club, a name that highly-regarded in golf and leisure resorts in Europe, is a great honour, and together we look forward to driving its position to number one in Europe once more.” Set over 1,400 acres in an area three times the size of Monaco, La Manga Club has set the standard for sports and lifestyle destination resorts since its inception in 1972.
