DESTINATION GOLF WINS BIG AT WORLD GOLF AWARDS, ABU DHABI 2019.

Professionalism, passion, partnership and global reach are the cornerstones underpinning Destination Golf’s development into the number 1 golf travel publication on the internet.

The group’s expansion over the past decade has now enabled our publications to reach onto 5 continents.

This growth has been achieved, in no small part, through the dedicated support of our 21 regional ambassadors, all of whom are as passionate about spreading the word about golf in their region to the rest of the world as we are.

Destination Golf’s regional guides offer a dedicated and customised shop window for golf in each destination to the rest of the world, and we are proud to announce that this reach has just been extended with the launch of our new 26 multi-lingual websites.

However all this activity, energy and passion is not about advertising, although there is considerable collateral value in this respect, but rather about providing an effective and interactive marketing platform to our partners. Our publication is designed to showcase our partners venues, products and services and facilitate a dynamic and ongoing dialogue with our data base of over half a million travelling golfers and seventy one tour operators.
Our commitment to developing and maintaining this interaction with the golf marketplace is our daily focus. This requires that our head office staff, and regional teams, work around the clock to ensure that news about our partners’ activities and venues is kept fresh and up to date.

Whether it is eastwards from Canada to Japan, or west from Australia to Southern Africa, a Destination Golf Travel Guide will only be a mouse click away to help you plan your vacation.

These efforts have been rewarded by Destination Golf receiving one of the business of golf’s most coveted accolades; a World Golf Award for World’s Best Travel Magazine which we were proud to receive at the recent awards ceremony held at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi.

This acknowledgement, by our peers, will not be cause for us to rest on our laurels, but rather spur us on with greater energy in our desire to maintain our role as a market leader, and continue to develop and refine the most effective and interactive golf marketing platform in the world.

Speaking at the World Golf Awards gala ceremony in Abu Dhabi, Founder & CEO, Dermot Synnott said “we’ve put in the hard miles over the last 10-years, working tirelessly in many destinations to establish our brand, so this win is a fitting way to close one decade of work. As a company, we are always looking to the future. We are ready to go multi-lingual and look forward to working with more destinations.”

I had been looking for an effective shop window to showcase our abundance of golf riches in Southern Africa for some time.
In Destination Golf I finally found what I had been looking for – a publication which realised that marketing was not only the key, but something which also needed to be dynamic and continuous to be truly effective. This initial impression was reinforced, as our discussions developed, by the lack of a ‘one fits all’ approach and the group’s willingness to adapt its model to accommodate the prevailing regional needs. The end result was that I had no hesitation in recommending Destination Golf as the publication of choice to showcase our region’s golf to the rest of the world.

Wow, wow, wow and the biggest congratulations to Dermot and the Team at Destination Golf! From our Far East outpost, with the success of the first Asia Edition under our belts and with the next well underway, we could not be more excited by this accolade. Dermot’s tireless dedication is empirical proof that hard work, maintaining the highest production standards and enthusiastically championing the industry’s most revered golf properties while simultaneously always striving to discover new gems, pays off. It is our distinct pleasure to be in the Destination Golf orbit of worldwide golf coverage and contributing to its growth and success. Onward and upward, DG!” – Zenta Thomas – President, Dragon Rock; Sam Sakocius – President, Qualitas Project Control.
